The brief
Built to exacting standards, a Charlcombe home is a genuinely special, individual one. The houses at Tyning Meadows, on the edge of the beautiful Limpley Stoke Valley, are modern in concept but they also echo the solid and trusted Edwardian villa.
The goal with the interiors was to provide an elegant canvas to which new owners could eventually add their own stamp. So this meant choosing from a palette of neutral shades that would bring both warmth and style to the spaces, as well as being long-lasting and durable for family life.
The result
For the ground floor and first floor landing of each house, an engineered UV oiled oak laid in traditional plank format provides a timeless, warm yet robust surface. It was finished with a zero VOC oil that is very hard wearing.
Caesar’s Italian Porcelain in a range of colours was used in the bathrooms for a clean, elegant look.
Tile & Floor sourced, supplied and installed 1500sqm of engineered oak, 3400 sqm of porcelain tiling and 1100 sqm of coir carpet across the group of houses. We also supplied vinyl for the affordable homes for a smart finish. A range of Kerakoll grout and adhesive products were used which, as well as being green, are also very reliable.

Tiling in bathrooms is extraordinarily difficult. Mark understands the complexities and his team always hit the level of excellence we need, from installation, to fitting in with our build schedule or swiftly accommodating unexpected changes.

The quality of design as well as the trades on-site always makes Charlcombe a joy to work with. These houses certainly look knock-out.
