Electric underfloor heating
By using heating wires laid beneath your chosen floor surface, the temperature can be controlled easily via a thermostat or app. They're fast to install, often completed in a day or two. This makes them ideal if you're renovating one room at a time rather than tackling the whole house at once.
Hydronic (water) underfloor heating.
Warm water can be passed through a network of pipes beneath the floor to heat your floors. They're more complex to install but are useful for heating flooring in larger spaces. We can integrate them with your existing central heating.
A useful rule of thumb is for large, open-plan spaces a kitchen-diner, a hydronic system is usually the better investment. For smaller rooms like bathrooms, an electric system is often the more flexible choice.

Which Flooring Works Best?
The good news is that underfloor heating is compatible with a range of tiles in our stock.
Porcelain, decorative, and natural stone tiles are the great partners for underfloor heating. Their thermal conductivity is excellent they absorb heat efficiently and release it steadily. Whether you're tiling a kitchen floor, a bathroom, a boot room or a utility space, this combination is hard to beat.
Wood flooring works beautifully too. All engineered timber can be used with underfloor heating, though for herringbone and parquet styles we recommend engineered rather than solid wood to allow for natural movement. It's important to let the flooring acclimatise in the property before installation to avoid any expansion or contraction issues later.
Luxury vinyl tiles are a great option in well-insulated rooms where heat requirements are more modest.
